1. Scope and operator

This Privacy Policy explains how VELDUROVEL ("VELDUROVEL," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information submitted through this website and through our product-support communications. VELDUROVEL operates this online warranty and product-support service. This policy does not govern Amazon, WhatsApp, Proton Mail, or other third-party services.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:

  • Warranty and purchase information: your name, email address, Amazon order number, product category, vehicle year/make/model, and registration number.
  • Support information: the details, photos, product or OE numbers, fitment information, and messages you choose to send when requesting assistance.
  • Limited technical information: our hosting and security providers may process IP address, browser/device information, timestamps, and request logs needed to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the website.

We do not ask for payment-card information, government identification numbers, or Amazon account passwords through this website.

3. How we use information

  • Verify an eligible Amazon order and register a product warranty.
  • Respond to questions about products, fitment, installation, orders, warranties, and customer support.
  • Maintain support records and prevent duplicate, fraudulent, or abusive submissions.
  • Protect the website, investigate technical issues, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
  • Improve product information and support processes using aggregated or de-identified observations where practical.

Messages submitted through the contact form are saved in our support system so our team can follow up even if an email notification fails. These records are available only through our protected administration area.

You do not need to leave an Amazon review to receive warranty service or support. We do not use registration information to ask for a positive review.

4. When information is disclosed

We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary to service providers that host or secure the website, support our communications, or help us operate warranty and customer-service functions; to comply with law or a valid legal request; or in connection with a business reorganization where appropriate safeguards apply. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Retention

Failed order-verification attempts are not saved in the warranty database. Verified warranty-registration and purchase-verification records are generally kept through the applicable warranty period and for up to 24 months after that period ends. Ordinary support correspondence is generally kept for up to 24 months after the last customer contact. If one record serves both purposes, the longer period applies.

We may keep a record longer when reasonably necessary for a legal claim, fraud or abuse prevention, tax or accounting requirements, a regulatory obligation, or another requirement of applicable law. Copies held in routine backups or by communication and hosting providers expire under their normal security and retention cycles. Subject to applicable law, a verified deletion request may result in earlier deletion or de-identification.

6. International processing

Because we serve customers in the United States, Canada, and Mexico and use online service providers, information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Privacy laws in those locations may differ. We use the information only for the purposes described in this policy and apply reasonable safeguards appropriate to the service.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or misuse. No online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information that we have not requested.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, or receive information we hold about you; object to or limit certain processing; or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. California residents may also have rights to know, correct, delete, and not be discriminated against for exercising applicable privacy rights. Mexican residents may exercise ARCO rights (access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition).

Send a request to fsm9VELDUROVEL@proton.me with the subject “Privacy Request.” Describe your request and the email or order number associated with your record. We may ask for limited information to verify that the request relates to you. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

9. Cookies, local storage, and anonymous visit statistics

The public customer pages do not use advertising cookies. The language and Amazon-marketplace selectors may remember your preferences on your device. Temporary session-storage flags help preserve the original visit source and avoid repeatedly counting the same page or action during one browser session.

To understand QR-card and website use, we keep first-party daily aggregates of page paths and selected actions, such as opening the warranty form, completing or failing verification, opening an Amazon review link, or opening a support link. These aggregates may include the product category, selected Amazon marketplace, language, general country code, device category, and source category (QR, direct, internal, or external). They do not include the name, email address, order number, form contents, a persistent visitor identifier, or an IP address. An untagged printed QR visit can look the same as a person typing the web address, so those visits are reported together. Hosting and security providers may separately process IP addresses in operational logs as described in Section 2. The protected administration area uses a strictly necessary, secure session cookie after an authorized administrator signs in.

10. Third-party links

Links to Amazon, WhatsApp, and email providers take you to services controlled by those companies. Their own privacy notices and terms apply. We encourage you to review them before providing information through those services.

11. Children

This website is intended for purchasers and users of automotive parts and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the warranty form.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our services or privacy practices change. The revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions, complaints, requests to limit use or disclosure, and privacy-rights requests may be sent to fsm9VELDUROVEL@proton.me.
